NFL - Week 14 Quick Hits

NFL Season: Week 14
Winners, Losers, Quick Hits, & WTF!?

Winners
Vikings – Powered by another huge AP Rush Performance, they knocked off the Bears, leaving that division still in question as to who will take it down.

Pats – They didn’t just win, they beat the poop out of the Texans, making everyone re-think their bold claims that the Texans were gonnabe the team to beat. Even the fumbles went their way. In the two losses the Texans have had, they’ve given up 42 points in EACH of those contests….that won’t work.

Eagles – Snapping their huge losing streak on the road, with rookies at the helm on the very last play of the game. Kudos to you Napoleon Dynamite Nick Foles. Oh, and that catch by Jason Avant? That was sick too.

Cowboys – Hmm, two December games, and two December wins. Who is this team? Playing with all the emotions, they delivered. Are we due for Bad Romo soon?

One of the sickest catches, ever.

Losers
Cardinals – If it’s possible to hit another all time low, the Cardinals just did it, being blanked 58-0. Remember that 4-0 start? Remember this team beat the Patriots, in Foxboro?

Ravens, Bengals, Steelers – It’s a crazy day when only the BROWNS win in the AFC North. Ravens gave up their 8 points lead, to Kirk Cousins. Bengals were shocked by the Cowboys at home, and the Steelers blew it against the Chargers.

Saints – Losing three straight, after resurging back from a 0-4 start. They were blown out in the Meadowlands, surrendering the most points allowed in the Brees Era. That 49ers pick six seemingly changed the fate of the season. Just in case you have short term memory, the Colts put 55 up on them in 2003 at the Dome. DIAF Jason David, wherever you are.

Falcons – Your record doesn’t mean diddly poo if you don’t play like a team that should be in the playoffs. You can’t automatically convert yourselves & expect to win. They’ve looked horrid in the past few weeks, and still win, well aside from Sunday against the Panthers.

How exactly do you not recover the ball again?

Quick Hits
The Seahawks 58-0 win ranked among the Top 4 in NFL History. The last one-sided victory came with the Patriots
shutting out destroying the Titans 59-0 (10/18/09)

Chiefs (2-11), Jaguars (2-11), & Raiders (3-10) are poised to the take the Top 3 spots in the 2013 NFL Draft. There are four 4-9 teams that could potentially land there, but we’re assuming the Chiefs, Jags, & Raiders win.

Top winning streaks currently: Denver (8), New England (7), Washington (4)

Top losing streaks currently: Detroit (5), Oakland (6), Arizona (9)

Your Top Player Positions Leaders: Drew Brees (4,028), RGIII (104.2 QB RTG), AP (1,600 Rush Yards), Megatron (1,546 Receiving Yards), Aldon Smith (19.5 Sacks), Tim Jennings (8 INT)

You're doing it wrong.

WTF!?
Marshawn Lynch had 11 rushes on the day for Seattle, for 128 Yards, which is an astounding 11.6 yard average.

Joe Morgan of the Saints has only 7 catches on the season, but has a 44.3 yard average. Deep threat indeed.

Tackling machine Luke Kuechly leads the NFL in tackles with 130, as a rookie. Most impressive.

In the TD With Style category, Woodhead gets a '10'
