Notes from Hispandrix
SF@ATL: Atlanta has lucked out all season long, and that's no observation, it's the truth. They had no business winning the game they did last week against Seattle, but part of it is their own damn fault, rushing 5 when you know what's about to happen. At any rate, the 49ers handled business last week against the Packers in impressive style. There's hardly a reason to believe that the 49ers aren't the better team in this spot. Colin Kaepernick is one biceps kiss away from being in the big game, and sadly on the other hand....so is Matt 'Flat' Ryan. Everyone better hope, wish, and pray that the Falcons lose this one, and get their ass handed to them. Given the 49ers defense, and actual ability on offense, they SHOULD win here.
Final Prediction: 49ers 34, Falcons 21
BAL@NE: Amazing story here, as the Ray Lewis fueled Ravens played spoiler last weekend against the heavily favored Broncos, depriving everyone of the Brady-Manning showdown. Joe Flacco looked like an elite QB, and the Broncos couldn't cover diddly poo. Justin Tucker booted the winning Field Goal, and they earned a date in New England as a result. The Patriots, who need zero introduction, just destroyed the Texans (again) on their home turf. They host the Ravens for the second year in a row, and there's no Billy Cundiff to screw things up this time around (and neither is Lee Evans). The fact that the Ravens hung in with the Broncos, and even going down early, were able to come back, and put up as many points as they did gives them all sorts of fits. For the sake of points, it would be the only reason I pick New England, but on the other hand, I want & root for Baltimore to win. They're out to do the nearly unthinkable. Harbaugh bowl?
Final Prediction: Ravens 30, Patriots 28
Final Prediction: 49ers 34, Falcons 21
